Project title: “VIESSMANN FIS Nordic Combined World Cup 2027–2029”

The FIS Nordic Combined World Cup for men and women in Otepää is planned to take place over three consecutive years from 2027 to 2029 at the Tehvandi Sports Centre in Otepää. In the first year (i.e. the first phase of the project), the World Cup event will be held in Otepää from 14 to 17 January 2027, bringing together the world’s leading Nordic Combined athletes, including Olympic champions and World Champions. Approximately 100 athletes and 200 team officials and support staff are expected to participate.

The event will increase Estonia’s international visibility as a sports and tourism destination, attract more international visitors, and contribute to the local economy. International television broadcasts are expected to reach nearly 20 million viewers worldwide, further enhancing Estonia’s reputation as a sporting nation and promoting its tourism potential.

The event is co-financed by the European Union through the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency (EIS). The total funding available for the project, which will be implemented over three consecutive years, is up to EUR 225,000.
