World Cup season starts in Ruka tomorrow
13 venues will host FIS World Cup events for 2017/2018 season, in addition to the season highlight - Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. First World Cup will take place in Ruka, Finland already this weekend.
There are 22 Individual Nordic Combined Events, 3 Team Sprints and 3 Team Competitions throughout the FIS World Cup season. The first leg will be in Ruka this weekend and the last one in Germany in March 2018. There will be 3 Individual Events in Ruka, which will form a Triple Event as well.
One of the World Cups will also take place in Otepää, Estonia. In January, athletes will compete in World Cup Individual Event + Team Sprint. Women will have 2 Individual Events of Continental Cup. The competiton will be unique in at least 3 ways:

2018 will be 100 year anniversary for Estonia and this tournament will be first international competition to open the programme

- Thursday, 23.11. PCR at 17.00 / top 50 advance to main competition
- Friday, 24.11. Ski Jumping at 15.30 and Ind. Gundersen 5km at 18.15
- Saturday, 25.11. Ski Jumping at 10.45 and Ind. Gundersen 10km at 15.30
- Sunday, 26.11. Ski Jumping at 11.45 and Ind. Gundersen 10km at 14.30
